Americanarama 2013: Dylan, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Jackson Browne, and Nancy Sinatra
This was a mixed bag with blistering performances from My Morning Jacket and Wilco, surprising test appearances from Jackson Browne and Nancy Sinatra, and a hit-and-miss performance from mostly inaudible headliner Bob Dylan. So, essentially, you get the good with the Bob

Florence & The Machine at the Hollywood Bowl, October 2012
We saw the amazingly incomparable (or incomparably amazing) Florence & The Machine at the Bowl last year. A truly stunning performance. I started a few minutes late, but here it is.

Three O' Clock pre-Coachella reunion at the Glass House
One of the most surprising announcements for last year's Coachella was the reunion of Paisley Underground leaders, The Three O' Clock. Though they are little known, they have a storied past, not the least of being managed by a pre-Nirvana John Silva. Somewhere I have an interview I did with them, but in the meanwhile, here is the pre-Coachella reunion.
Three O' Clock were a favorite of mine from high school, opening my eyes and exposing my mind to world of new, unheard music. Their music sounds as good today as it did yesterday, as it did the yesteryear's music it was inspired by.

In Case You Couldn't Make It: David Byrne & St. Vincent at OCPA
Alright ruhtf reader...I've been making promises, but now I have reason to follow through. I have a stockpile of old stuff that I've been meaning to put up… Now I found a drive that contains an abundance of material needing to be shared. It is the equivalent of finding an old box from your childhood that you long thought was missing.
First, let me clear up the old stuff that I have been having to put up.
David Byrne and St. Vincent played Orange County Performing Arts Center. It was a totally unexpected phenomenal performance and I have it all captured here for you to hear.
They were touring behind their brilliant new album, but for those who don't like change skip to the end for the familiar Talking Heads material.

Adam Ant @ The Grove October 20, 2012
Wow… It appears it is been a long time since I have posted anything here. I have been collecting some things so I will put them out in spurts. First up is the triumphant return of Adam Ant. This was a highly anticipated show and was a clear sellout. Surprisingly, he did not go for the for the "sure thing" hit songs and played a lot of early, more "punk" songs. You could tell the audience was hardcore because they were not disappointed. I was a bit worried that there would be some kind of erratic behavior as has been reported on in the past, but there was none of that. He did not have much interaction with the audience if anything at all, however. He had a job to do, and he did it well.… Reestablishing himself as a potent musical force.
Apparently the tour last year went well because he's coming back for a second round this year. Get a taste of what you can expect below:
