At the end of the 80's a local group was playing around OC that blended punk and funk in a groovy, booty-shaking way. The following bio is from lead singer Kevin Murray's site:
We were a 3-piece soul/funk/punk outfit. A mélange of Funkadelic, Bad Brains, Fishbone and the Minutemen. If you will. We played around with all of the local bands of the time: fIREHOSE, the Vandals, No Doubt, Sublime, The Shrinky Dinx (later renamed Sugar Ray), the Weirdos, The Dickies and the legendary El Grupo Sexo. I haven't been able to find these songs anywhere on the web, including Twisto's MySpace site and Facebook page.
